Big Rock Mountain and Nine Times Preserve
Pickens County, South Carolina

I had a wonderful solo hike around Big Rock Mountain and the Nine Times Forest Preserve in Pickens County, SC. I did a nice 9 mile loop which included many of the Big Rock Mountain climbing areas, Cedar Rock Mountain, and some seldom visited areas of the Nine Times Forest!

Warning #2: Most of the Nine Times Forest is a SC Wildlife Management Area where hunting is allowed. I highly recommend staying safe and wearing an orange hat!

I did not see or hear any hunting activity and the only other humans I saw were around the popular rock climbing areas on the south side of Big Rock Mountain.
