Did you use your tripod? If I try my macro hand held, I'm just not stable enough and they come out blurry without the tripod.

Larry, No I did not use a Tri-Pod, but I did use Iggy as a bean bag to keep the camera steady. That allows good stabilization is much quicker and easier to get the camera in the desired position.
