Selfie with Andy at Eden Falls

Andy had the day off, so we planned to get together for a little waterfall adventure.  We decided on Mountain Cat Falls and Eden Falls which neither of us had ever been to before.  These waterfalls are located deep within the Jocassee Gorge Wildlife Management Area of Pickens County, SC.

The Roundtop Mountain Passage of the Palmetto Trail will get you close, but these waterfalls also require a bit of off trail bushwhacking and/or creekwalking.

Here is my GPS Track.  The short off trail section to Mountain Cat Falls is pretty easy.  However the bushwhack to Eden Falls was extremely difficult!   Our track also includes an area downstream from Mountain Cat Falls where we found a nice smaller waterfall.

Warning!  The route we took to/from Eden Falls was definitely not easy!  You might want to try a different approach!  You have been warned!!!!

Here are some of my photos from our Adventure:

This is the lowest drop on Mountain Cat Creek that I got to
I didn't bother with the Tri-Pod for this one

We had planned to explore a little further upstream from Eden Falls, but we were both cold and wet and felt it would be best to save those for longer days and warmer weather!
