Group Photo at Great Falls
Great Falls (aka 4th Falls) on Toxaway Creek is one of the most impressive waterfalls in the Carolina's. Unfortunately it is on private property and public access is strictly prohibited!
Fortunately, church camp was not in session and Captain John was able to pull out his Rolodex of contacts to procure permission to access the Waterfalls of The Wilds!
The foggy morning made for perfect waterfall photography! We decided to take advantage of the morning light by hitting the main attraction first!
Great Falls (aka Fourth Falls) on Toxaway Creek
After a nice long break to soak in the Majesty of Great Falls, we continued on down to the Toxaway River to explore a section that none of us had ever been to.
A blueless tributary flows into the Toxaway River just below Fisher Hole. We decided to explore the entire section of this tributary between the Toxaway River and the Canebreak Trail. Here are some of the highlights!

We we successfully able to reach the Canebreak trail which we used to connect back to the trails into the Wilds.
