Jack and Amy's Trip to Washington State
Day 4 - Tuesday, July 10th, 2018
Cap Sante Park, Deception Pass State Park,
Mount Erie, Sugarloaf Mountain,
and a beautiful Sunset with Amy

My main goal for the day was to check out Deception Pass State Park. But first I would make the short drive up to Cap Sante Park for sunrise. It was too cloudy to actually see the sunrise, but there were definitely some cool clouds making it well worth the early wake up!

Deception Pass State Park surrounds Deception Pass which is the body of water that separates Fidalgo Island and Whidbey Island.

After spending most of the day at Deception Pass, I still had a few hours left so I did another short hike that incorporated Mount Erie and Sugarloaf Mountain. Both of these Mountains are located on Anacortes Community Forest Lands and both offer excellent views.

Later that evening Amy and I had dinner with a couple of her Co-workers.

After dinner I took Amy back up to the summit of Mount Erie for Sunset. The overlooks don't really face in the right direction for sunset, but it was still a beautiful view and very pretty sky.

We finished up the evening at Cap Sante park for some awesome after sunset evening twilight!
