Since I plan on devoting the afternoon to College Football, this morning I took little trip down the road to check out the Garden. I was pleasantly surprised to see the fountain, cascading streams, and man-made waterfall flowing again. For about the past year, the pumps have always been off during my visits
A spent about 2 hours roaming around the 10-acre Hatcher Garden taking photos of anything that caught my interest:
Raindrops on a Spiderwort bloom
Centipede or Millipede?
Mystery Flower
Fountain at Hatcher Garden
Eastern Swallowtail Butterfly
Man-made, but still a pretty little waterfall
Another Angle of the waterfall

Thanks Kim! I was pleased with the way most of them came out!
I like these, especially the centi/milli-pede. I've never gotten one to sit still long enough.
Jack .. what a beautiful treasure to have right in downtown Spartanburg (had to look this place up on Google Maps!)
Your photos are stunning! Especially the 'mystery flower'.
And a superb shot of the butterfly!
Thanks Larry, I am pretty sure it is a centipede. I was grateful it decided to stay still for a little while!
Breda, Yup Hatcher Garden is a great little 10-acre treasure in the middle of downtown Spartanburg. And it is less than 5 miles from my house!
What a fantastic set Jack. Love the man made waterfall captures.
