Poker Night!

SSPBDT Poker Night

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

The Players:
  • Jack Thyen
  • Jeff Martin
  • Brian Ludwiczak
  • Steve Jeffery

Austin Martin made his first appearance at SSPBDT Poker Night. Since his hands are still a little too small to hold the cards and handle the chips, he hung out with the girls while the guys played poker!

For the evening’s meal, I made up a big dish of Chicken & Pasta Casserole. It must have been pretty good, because there was hardly anything left in the dish!

On the poker table, for the first time this year it was warm enough to take the action onto the screened in porch! What a beautiful evening to hang out with friends playing a little poker on the porch!

Jeff makes a bet, I had already folded, so I got up to snap a few photos
but, check out my huge stack of chips!

Isn't it great that our work cell phones don't work at Jack's house!

Steve had to leave a little early, but not before he raked in one of his biggest night of poker winnings ever! Steve walked away with a whole $1.00 in winnings. That’s pretty good for Steve, considering that he is almost always in the red!

So we were down to three for the last couple of hours. I generally prefer to have at least (4) players at the poker table, but we made the best of it by experimenting with some new games.

Brian and I seemed to be battling back and forth most of the evening and ended up tied for the Biggest Winner of the evening, each taking in a whopping $3.00!

Even though Jeff ended up down $7.00 for the night, the biggest loser award for the night goes to Chris Emory who said he should be able to make it, but never showed up!

A great time was had by all.

The proposed date for the next monthly SSPBDT Poker night is:

Thursday, May 13th, 2010
