Two Medicine Lake, Pray Lake, Twin Falls
Upper Two Medicine Lake, Aster Creek Falls
Glacier National Park, Montana
Thursday, September 1st, 2011

For my main solo hike of the day, I decided to hike the trail around Two Medicine Lake.

Hike Route (highlighted in blue)

I did the hike counter-clockwise starting at the camping area alongside Pray Lake.  It was an awesome hike and I experienced just about every type of weather you can experience on one hike!  Fog, Rain, Sun, Sleet, Wind, and Snow.

I'll recap the hike in photos:

Wow!!!! I missed this post! Fantastic scenery!!

I think the bird is a ptarmigan in its summer feathers. The little mammal seems to be a young marmot. I've never seen a young one.

Look like you were really, really close to a glacier there! I want to see one of those before they're all gone.

This looks like a really nice hike. We only did one hike in that part of the park, and it didn't include Upper Two Medicine or the waterfalls. I'll add it to the to-do list for our next visit.
